Out of Hours

If you need a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed, patients of Brynderwen and Minster Surgeries should telephone the Out of Hours Service on 029 20444500.

Emergency out of hours cover is provided by Cwm Taf Local Health Board, who have been commissioned by Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. If, however, you require health information or advice, NHS Direct - a nurse led 24 hours advice line - is available on 0845 4647, or on-line at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk. Casualties can be seen at the University Hospital of Wales in the Accident and Emergency Department.

Accidents

For patients living in Cardiff, the nearest Casualty Department is at the University Hospital of Wales, and for patients living in Gwent it is the Royal Gwent Hospital. You need not consult your Doctor if you feel you need URGENT attention or suffer injuries which may need X-ray of possible fractures, wound stitching etc.
